Aristea is a partnership between three friends that have dared to dream of making the finest wines possible from the ancient lands of the Western Cape. Wines that not only capture their long years of combined experience, but wines that will also reflect their individual identity and bring great happiness. Born from the ashes and found only in Madagascar and the Cape, the Aristea flower flourishes on land ravaged by fire, opening for just one day each year. It also symbolizes the struggle, passion and dedication required to produce every new vintage of our special collection of handmade wines. Wines that express a sense of place, crafted with skill and adventure by friends united in a single purpose: to capture the elegance and spirit of South Africa. We started this wonderful adventure with just one thought in mind:

Aristea Chardonnay

100% Chardonnay - this wine displays a generous and rich complexity of citrus and tropical fruit, whilst the subtle use of French oak adds butterscotch, spice and a touch of vanilla, which blend nicely with the natural acidity to produce a silky mouth-feel and a fresh, long, rich finish.
Aristea Sauvignon Blanc - Semillon

75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon - the delicate stone fruit flavors of this wine combine seductively with blackcurrant to add a beautiful richness and a nicely balanced acidity. This is further supported by the gently integrated wood component that teases on the tongue with a lingering minerality and an aftertaste that makes you want to come back for more.
Aristea Cabernet Sauvignon

100% Cabernet Sauvignon - this wine shows the same attractive register of luscious, juicy fruits that combine perfectly with the well-balanced use of French oak, adding hints of cigar box and cinnamon spice. This leads to a fine and firm tannins structure that promises a wine with great aging potential.

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - this wine is classically styled with a soft and lasting elegant complexity. The extended secondary fermentation also adds beautiful depth to the nose, delivering a quintessential biscuity bouquet, whilst on the palate, it also displays a fine mousse with tight and persistent lingering bubbles of great finesse and subtle aromas.
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - this wine displays more playful and harmonious fruit flavors that are beautifully balanced by fine lingering bubbles and a very delicate, creamy mousse. It finishes with great length, a refreshing and mouth-watering acidity and is a crowd pleaser for all occasions.
