As the name suggests, Proyecto Hermanas was established by two sisters, Sofia and Lucila Pescarmona. Third generation winemakers, these ladies learned everything they could possibly need to know at their family’s estate, Lagarde; one of Mendoza’s oldest wineries bottling, with Malbec vines over 100 years old. With Sofia in Mendoza and Lucila in San Francisco, this project was an opportunity to establish their own legacy in Mendoza and bring them closer geographically. Following in their family's footsteps, Proyecto Hermanas constantly strives to innovate by producing non-traditional varietals in small batches.
