Villa Annaberta was founded by Diego Cottini, in the name of his wife, Annaberta, to underline the major role played by his family in his life and in the development of his business. The Cottini family's winemaking tradition started four generations ago and nowadays the fourth generation, is represented by Michele and Mattia. The Cottini family closely follows all steps of the production process, from the vine to the bottle.  For twenty years the Cottini Family has scrupulously followed a quality control procedure based on low yields and respect for the natural qualities of the product, which is developing year after year. Villa

Annaberta wines represent a superior quality collection of wine which stands head and shoulders above rest.

Villa Annaberta owns and manages 140 hectars of land, located in the proximity of Cottini Family’s winery and estate. The low-yield policy, implemented through the adoption of the Guyot system and the high density of plants per hectare, is aimed at guaranteeing quality throughout the vineyard.

These cutting-edge techniques also assist the preservation of the varietal characteristics of the grapes at all stages from the vineyard to the bottle, through the processes of drying, fermentation, ageing and bottling. The end result is an award-winning, top-of-the-range product, the quality of which is acknowledged worldwide.

Amarone della Valpolicella

Harmonious, elegant and complex, Villa Annaberta Amarone della Valpolicella is the result of the long and accurate productive protocol, invented more than 20 years ago by the Cottini Family. Complex to the nose, it displays notes of raisins and cherries preserved in alcohol. Well balanced on the palate with a long lingering aftertaste.

2012: 90 points, Wine Enthusiast

Sleek by Amarone standards, this opens with aromas of ripe black cherry, ground pepper, raisin and a whiff of blue flower. On the palate, finely woven tannins support raspberry jam, black pepper, cocoa and a cinnamon note.

2011: 89 points, Wine Spectator

A medium-bodied, creamy Amarone, with a zesty thread of spice threaded through the plumped cherry, espresso crème, singed orange rind and loamy earth flavors. Lightly chewy, but very open-knit and accessible now. Drink now through 2021. 900 cases made. –AN

A beautiful aromatic blend of Sauvignon and Muller Thurgau and Garganega. Bright and well rounded with notes of apple and pear. Rich and complex nose shows aromatic notes, with hints of soft jasmine intermingled with white fruits. Rich nose leads to a rich textured palate and crispy.

Valpolicella Ripasso

Elegant, vigorous and persistent. Distinctive aromas of dried fruit, ripe fruit and jam that add body and character. This Ripasso Superiore is the result of a particular process which consist of pouring Valpolicella Superiore on the skins of the Amarone in January so that it takes the typical notes of ripe plums and dark cherries with a hint of raisins.
